The mixer reducer (gearbox) transfers power from the hydraulic motor to the drum. Its oil seals — especially the bowl seal on the drum side — are the most replaced items on a mixer truck. A leaking seal means oil loss, contamination and eventual gear damage.
Prevention: check oil level weekly, inspect for leaks after every shift in hot climates, and replace seals at the first sign of weeping.
We supply reducer seal kits and complete reducers for ZF/PMP/TOP-style systems.
The hydraulic pump drives everything. Pumps fail from contamination, overheating, or simple wear after thousands of hours. Symptoms: slow drum rotation, noise, and heat.
Prevention: change hydraulic oil and filters on schedule, keep the oil cooler clean, and monitor oil temperature.

Drum support rollers (like the 220.150440 and 32123 assemblies) carry the drum weight. Worn rollers cause drum misalignment, uneven wear and vibration.
Inspect rollers for flat spots and bearing play every 500 hours. Replace in sets to maintain even wear.
We supply drum roller assemblies with forged steel construction, shaft and bearing included.
Spiral mixing blades and liner plates wear from concrete abrasion. Worn blades reduce mixing quality and increase cycle time.
Most owners replace blades every 6–12 months depending on usage. Wear parts kits bundle blades, liners, seals and bearings for a full service.
See our mixer wear parts program.
Discharge chutes, hoppers and water pumps see heavy abuse. Chute liners wear, hopper doors jam, and water pumps fail from running dry.
Keep chute liners stocked — they are cheap to replace and protect the chute structure.
